A demon pony of the modern age been no more that 200 years old, 8-bit or as she was known at the time Harmonious symphony has adapted and evolved with the times, form a young age she has always loved music, her mother taking her to many Concerts across the 1800's & 1900's even buying her daughter a cello and violin to play as harmonious loved the string instruments the most and as the years went on and she got older she began to find other interests in film/t.v mainly in the genera of si-fi but not in the terms of space and such in the terms of alternate history, steam punk to be more specific, loving the Victorian era cloths with pipes and gears and such sewn on to them and all there gadgets were always awesome to her, But her true talent and personality did not come to be until the end if the 1900's in the final years counting down to the millennium.

For in 1981 a small box came out that was for amusement, it was known as a video game console where in you hold a box that had a stick and 1 red button allowing you to move the object on screen and preform a action, it was mildly amusing but nothing special, but then in 1984 a new electronic box the nighentendo came out, curious to see what what was different Harmonious picked one up and turned it on and from that 1st time she pressed the buttons she was blown away, not only by the games because they now had structure but by the music, it was a new kind of music that she had never heard before, the electronic music gripping her and inspiring her to make her own, taking her cello and violin to a scientist who added mechanical parts to them and converted them into electronic versions of themselves been sure to use things like copper, brass and other such metals to make them look as steam-punk as possible to keep in accordance with Harmonious wishes and after getting them back and stoking the lance on the strings for the 1st time and hearing the 8-bit music come out of her new instruments she was taken away by the melodies change her name to 8-bit symphony and making albums of 8-bit music to sell in her spare time.

(side note : the mods added to her instruments mean when she plays all the music comes out electrified and 8-bit)

Now been a demon pony she is still required by the powers of the nether to collect souls using the tools and magic at her to disposal to increase her power or the power of the arch-demon of that area, originally 8-bit used to play a song on her cello to any pony who had made a deal with her with music scores coming out of the cello and flew tough the victim, a glowing music note getting added to the score and bending back round to her into a music sheet next to her, that new note that is added to the music sheet that she called "The Sonata Of Souls", that new note been your soul and with every new soul note added the piece The Sonata Of Souls grew longer.
But as the years when on and her love of video games grew her methods changed slightly, now anyone who makes a deal with 8-bit would still listen to a song she played on her cello like normal but when the note score flew though your body and took your soul but rather than been added to The Sonata Of Souls it would instead fly into a small game disk (side of a game cube disk) that is around her neck embedded in a necklace thing that is much like Celestia's ecept that is silver instead of gold and the jewel is a disk, this is now were all active souls are kept but if they ever want to try and escape or break the contract that's where her new magic comes in to play and she gets to have fun.

The ones who seeks freedom are teleported to her castle to her game room where they have a chance to win there freedom, 8-bit challenges them to a game be it pony kart or whatever were they have to try and beat her, if they win they get there soul back and get to go free, 8-bit is of course obsessed with video games so beating her is almost impossible and only 3 have ever succeeded witch leads onto the 3 options she has in store.

the 1st - "Continue"
where in if you prove your skill and almost beat her and she is feeling generous or in a good mood she will give you 1 more shot at trying to win your freedom but if you fail the 2nd time you lose.

And upon loosing you trapped by magic, frozen in place while she reaches over and picks up her steam punk violin from off the table next to the couch were you were both playing, playing a song more note scores can be seen coming out it but this time they are full of notes, the note scores wrapping round the victim and both there soul and physical body into one of the many video games she has within her game room to be trapped there forever thus giving her a permanent boost to her power as that is a soul that can never be freed from her magic as there is NO revers spell, leading to the other 3 options she has in store from you mostly the same but one is certainly better than the others, it is also prudent to note once more that if you get a game over there is no coming back your are now trapped for all eternity and can never escape or try to win your freedom again as there is no longer a contract.
when you wanted you freedom your bet it all or nothing, get your soul back or become a plaything of 8-bit forever with no re-rolls.
leading into the 3 options she had waiting if you are foolish enough to challenge her and lose

the 1st - "Game Over (Good Ending)"

the lesser of the 3 evils, with "Game Over (Good Ending), your trapped with in one of her video games forever as mentioned above, but forever trapped in role of the hero, you still have free will, you can go where ever you want do whatever you want in the world and no one but the bad guy will try and stop you.
however when 8-bit feels like playing that game everything resets back to zero and your body is no longer in your control as she is the one holding the control, your now a puppet your body moving of its own accord, saying things and doing things against your will as your programmed to follow the buttons she is pressing and if she dies you feel the pain of dying before waking up back in the world moments later, but you know how good she is so don't worry she is not going to lose, then when the game is over and she takes it out the world is left 100% complete and your free once more to do whatever you want until the next time, but there is a flip side to this if she is in a bad mood or your unlucky.

the 2nd - "Game Over (Bad Ending)"

the other ending that is far worse than the good ending same as before your body and soul becomes forever trapped in a video game but not as a hero, oh no this time for trapped as a NPC, you will be fully conscious of what you have become and what you are doing but never able to speak out against it for example take nurse joy from pokemon you will take her place, forced to were a pink nurse outfit forever, never moving from that spot forever doomed to speak the same 1 line of text that NPC was programmed to say, and when the hero walks in be it someone else who has been trapped or a computer under 8-bits control you will want to burst into tears and try to cry out to beg for your freedom but you cannot, all you can do is keep that same happy expression and

"welcome to the pokemon center would you like me to heal them",

Once the game is over and 8-bit has switched off and others that are trapped in there are coming into heal they will never know that its not just another NPC as you can never tell them of the eternal torment that your are now doomed to forever endure as your programming slowly drives your mad at the fact your are forever talking to only yourself in your own head for the rest of time, but don't worry i'm sure after the 1st couple of thousand years have passed you will start enjoying the nurse outfit and begin to accept your place and become a happy NPC, that not been a sarcastic comment but the truth as your NPC programming starts to suttely brainwash you to enjoy fate, not enough for a total mind wipe just enough to make you enjoy been a NPC even giving you your freedom of speech back, but by that point its to late the NPC programming has already taken over and as long as your a NPC your happy, you will beg 8-bit to keep you as one willing repeating the 1 line of text you hated so much at the start, you will never know why but it now just brings you great joy to wear the pink nurse's outfit & say the same words over and over.

Now this can not always be a bad thing somethings you can be trapped as a hero's assistant like Fi from skyward sword, your still doomed to never be able to speak out and repeat the same lines of text over and over but your get to go on a adventure with the hero and such.

Or it could be the worst thing ever 8-bit giving you the role of a NPC in either a horror game or as boss or baddie of the game, one who is only there to serve as a scapegoat or a obstetrical for the hero to get passed,were your forever stuck the same spot not even been able to talk anyone destined to die over and over and over dying to respawn seconds later ready for the next hero to come along & of course mentioned above after the 1st couple of thousand years once the brain washing starts to take hold you will begin to enjoy it & want to stay as that NPC, you will willingly get pleasure out dying over and over and want nothing more that to try & stop the here only to be met with the pleasurably feeling of death to respawn seconds later waiting for the hero so you try and fail again.

and 3rd - Game Over (Never Ending)

this one is rare as it has to be game that matches that type of game, were you will assume the role of what you might class as a hero that is doomed to repeat the same cycle forever a never ending loop of life and death, a good example of this would be something like the binding of isaac or nuclear throne were you have been put in the roll of isaac,

you start in the basement, when 8-bit is playing your like a hero in the good ending her puppet you will move however she wishes you to and do as she commands, you make it to the chest & beat blue baby & the game is over, you crawl into the chest at the end & 8-bit shuts of the game, but as you fall down into the chest you lose all your items and fall back into the basement were you start over, were you will either make it to the chest at the end and land back in the basement or you will die & wake up in the basement doomed to forever loop the same level over and over, if you win you reset if you lose you reset as you embark on a journey with no end,
the same with something like Nuclear Throne if beat the throne you go though the portal back to the wastelands,
if you die before or to the throne you will wake up in the wastelands seconds later on your never ending quest.

and that's about it, there is a 4th option in a way, as with the good ending some have heard of this and for some video gamer's its a dream come true to become a hero and live out the life of that hero forever so some have devoted themselves to finding 8-bit and begging he to accept them, swearing there loyalty to her and willing wanting to give up there body and soul so they can become a video legend, and most of the time she will accept as its just another soul trapped with one of her video games increasing her power, however not all can be a hero and if she has nothing she can do with you then she will trap your body and soul in one of her 2 sandbox games of minecraft or terraria, where you can forever live building villages and fighting monsters with others, 8-bit in creative mode looking over all her players as if they were nothing but ants in her ant farm, watching them play out there lives and laughing at those who have found diamonds and get blown up by a creeper right after.

Finally as for her status she is a bit higher ranked than Midnight Devilwitch, buy no means a grand demon or a achr demon, still only a higher demon, but unlike midnight she is not self centered and can have focus when she needs to have it, ruling her own kingdom given to her by the high council as while it is unknown how many souls she has trapped with in video games it is certainly in the 3 if not 4 digits and quickly growing with the fact that she has made some beg her to take there souls just to live in a game, but again its not much higher than Midnight as she is still young been only 215.

If we were to compare its like Midnight is twilight and rules ponyville (a small place a few villages) and 8-bit is Cadence and rules the crystal empire (a bit bigger and higher in status but still nothing happens there) its not like the kingdom of the arch demon lord or a high council member that is huge like canterlot and has thousands of demons rolling round.

as for any other features

she is a self proclaimed princess as most video game girls are like peach and rosalina, so she has taken that title and has made herself a silver crown that just floats above her head, with magic i guess she never really told anyone about it she said she made it and when she tried to place it on her head it just floats about it so yer she has a floating crown.

she has stylized silver boots.
she only wears her boots and neckless when working when relaxing in her castle she never has them on there in a secret vault so no one can steal her soul disk, the only thing she keep on is her crown as its not really on it just floats there so it douse not bother her.

her eyes can change from normal eyes to demon eyes witch can world a bit like discord's in witch the rings can move and hypnotize ponies and lesser demons into doing her bidding if she so wishes but she douse not really need to as her other and final feature is her steam punk instruments, as well as putting things into games it can create stuff/pull stuff out of games, when in a battle or whatever she can play a song on her cello and depending on the song she is playing she can summon things.
for example if she played "road to bowser" music scores would come out of her cello and the notes and scores would form a 3-d model of bowers that she can command witch can cause psychical damage and take physical damage, but once it takes to much it poofs into pixels, it us unknown the extent of the cello's power as simple songs can summon armies of weak things like goombas and such so it seems the more complex or intense the song the stronger the thing she summons will be but there will be fewer of them.

And lastly is the 8-bit she makes and puts into albums to sell, these albums are sold in the mortal world and it is believed that gamers and other that buy these albums are brainwashed by the hypnotizing music and it is this music that tells them to seek her out and beg to become one of her playthings, just another puppet with a soul she can use to grow stronger.
